Recently we have called out for a mixture of Rat and Mouse infestations, this is primarily down to the drop in temperature over the last few days which causes Rats and Mice to look for warmth and shelter. If they gain entry into your property or business rodents can be very destructive, they will chew on electrical wires (as seen above), they can chew on woodwork, as well as spread disease and contamination through their urine and droppings.

Some tips to keep Rats and Mice outside include carrying out regular building checks to make sure that there aren't any obvious holes or entry points into the property, keep up with good hygiene by making sure that the bins are in good condition, making sure any chicken or pet food is as out of access to rodents as possible, keep up with garden work to ensure that Rats or Mice have limited places to hide and nest, finally try to avoid having climbing plants on your walls as Rats and Mice will use them as a ladder!
