We have recently treated our first Wasp nest in Rugby of the 2020 season! This particular Wasp nest was hanging from a shed roof which gave the client a nasty surprise when he opened his shed door! We was able to swiftly attend and remove the Wasp nest at a low cost.

Identifying Wasp Nests

Wasps nests are a grey/brown colour and are usually found in sheds or loft spaces where they typically hang from a rafter or from the shed roof. They are made from a paper mache type material and start with just 1 Wasp (the queen) before growing rapidly in size until they can reach up to 8000 Wasps in a nest.

Wasp Stings

Wasps often strike panic into the general public when they harass you at a BBQ or in a pub beer garden, their aggressive nature causes a great deal of concern to many people. A Wasps ability to sting several times means that even if you are not allergic you are at risk of major health issues.

How to get rid of Wasps?

We always advise to seek professional help when dealing with Wasp nests, without the correct protective equipment you put yourself at high risk. We treat Wasp nests by applying a residual insecticide to the entrance of the Nest which is highly effective and often destroys the nest in as little as 2 hours.
