We are very proud to have been contacted by the BBC Coventry and Warwickshire radio station to talk about the impact that the Coventry bin strike is having on the Coventry Rat population!
We have noticed an increase in Rat calls in the Coventry region lately, this is likely to be due to the increased waste present and therefore the increased food source for rodents. One of the questions asked by the presenter was that if hypothetically all of the waste disappeared overnight, what would happen to the rats...
We actually experienced a similar situation in the first Covid lockdown when waste from catering establishments stopped being produced and so rats found food sources elsewhere such as in peoples homes and gardens.
Hopefully the bin dispute will be sorted and the Rat population won't explode too much!
